St Paul’s Lecture

16th April, 6.30pm

Rev Kate Botley of Gogglebox and Radio 2 fame is giving a talk, 'Have a Little Faith', at St Paul's Cathedral on the evening of the 16th April.  You can find further information at: www.stpauls.co.uk/kate-bottley.

Alex Norris will be attending this and he invites you to join him.  He will be on the steps of St Paul's at 6.15pm for those who wish to attend.    Entry is free, with the option to make a donation on the evening, but a ticket is required to attend.   Please contact Alex if you are interested in attending so he can get a ticket for you.

Whitsun Carols, 19th May 2024

A unique musical service at 6pm concluding our annual cycle of carol services which tell the events of the Christian year.  At Whitsun Carols we commemorate the events from Easter to Pentecost, with readings and musical selections from the choir and guest musicians. including Rimsky-Korsakov’s Sheherazade, Easter from Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs, Tavener’s They Are All Gone into the World of Light and Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance No 4.   A reception with the first of the summer Pimms will follow.

Safeguarding at St John’s

Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is a priority at St John’s.  The Parochial Church Council (PCC) carries out an annual review of the parish’s Safeguarding Policy and the current policy is available in the porch and on the parish website.  Safeguarding concerns can be raised in the first instance with the church’s Safeguarding Officer, Mary Langford.
